The Ventnor Police Department depends on citizens to call and report crimes or suspicious activity. You can choose to remain anonymous, or give your name and number in case an officer needs further information.

The Ventnor Police Department provides copies of closed Police Reports and Motor Vehicle Accident Reports for incidents that occurred within the City of Ventnor and that the Department has investigated. The Ventnor Police Department provides these copies at a nominal fee per page.

How to obtain a case copy:

  • You may request one in person at the Records Bureau at the Police Department.

  • You may request by phone at (609) 822-7968. The information needed will be collected over the phone. You will need to appear in person to receive the report.

Reports are generally furnished to you while you wait. More complicated cases can take longer.

The State of New Jersey and Ventnor Police Department Policy regulates who may receive copies of cases.  In some instances your copy may be edited to withhold certain information pending disposition of the case, or for other reasons.
